fear is a factor...

my fb status says: passed by a group of rowdy boys at the backend of Raffles Hospital. They seemed to spot me from far and I had a feeling they wanted to mcm2 with me. Read Ayatul Kursi and I passed by them safely, Alhamdulillah. Im nvr gonna walk there alone ever again. Allah saja yg tau how scared I was.

and yes, i was scared shitless. they were freaking reeking of alcohol and cigarettes. so tell me, how not to be scared?

come, i story from abc.

walked to bugis mrt from school alone today. dearest habibati, naqi, didnt attend class today coz she was tied up at work. the other two darlings, syah and nuraini, got fetched by their parents. so tinggallah aku terkontang-kanting jalan sorang2 dari skola ke bugis mrt.

last week, i was alone too. i walked the same way. and there were some other pedestrians with me. so just now, i repeated the stunt of walking on the backend. EPIC WRONG MOVE.

halfway through the route, i saw a group of rowdy boys. they spotted me from afar and they were like arranging themselves to barricade me from walking pass. you know, like making a wall before taking a free kick in a football match. LIKE THAT. SERIOUS. my heart was thumping so hard, i tot i heard it thumped. the thought of doing a u-turn did occur but then i cancelled that coz i was scared they might give chase. i was alone leyyyy... scream oso no use.

then i remembered a story i read. held my right hand over my left chest and read the ayatul kursi. i braved myself and walked towards them. i had this thought i will kick their balls if they decide to mcm2 with me. but there was no need. just as i read the ayatul kursi, they kinda laughed around and split themselves into two groups as i walked pass them. they were on my left and right. i walked with my head high up, act brani lah. padahal, padahal... and everything so was blurry i didnt even hear what they were saying to me.

alhamdulillah, nothing happened. i nearly stood rooted when i passed by them safely. yes, i repeat, i was scared. the only thought was to get pass by them. syukur alhamdulillah...

only in the mrt, i had this urge to cry but no lah, i where got crybaby one. i busied myself with Facebook. and voila, i reached Pioneer liao.

and oh, the story that i remembered? i donno. i remember reading this story. about a man who used to rob and rape girls who walked on a lonely road. but one day, a muslimah passed that road, but he didnt do anything to the muslimah. the next day he was caught, and the muslimah saw him on the papers and recognised him. she went to the police station to testify that the man didnt do anything to her the night before. the man said, usually he does. and the night before, he did have the evil intention to do harm to the woman, but he saw two big men/being walking on the muslimah's right and left. he didnt dare to do anything.

the woman was shocked. she said, "but, i was walking alone but i was reciting the ayatul kursi." upon asking around the religious teachers, she was told that maybe becoz she was reading the ayatul kursi, the malaikats must be protecting her from harm as summoned by Allah Almighty. coz we all know Ayatul Kursi is ayat pendinding for the believers.

with this believe, i took the gamble and did what i did. and another factor that made me really confident was because, although i am not able to do my solat, i still had my wudhu'. my ustazah always reminds us to be in wudhu' state all the time. it protects us from all the unwanted things.

alhamdulillah, i came home safely. told the mum, and i promised her i will never walk that alley alone again.

and the image of them barricading themselves is still playing in my mind. gah!

it's ok lah. i will sleep it off. thank You Ya Allah. thank You.

my new gadget...

not really something to wow about lah... but, meh sini, akak cerita...

last sunday was the paternal relatives meet up at nenek's house day. two cuzzies of mine wanted to celebrate their bday too, so we got them their prezzies beforehand. kita ni mcm kira standard ah, birthday girl and boy setakat dua orang tapi die2 must buy for the rest of the kids too... like tak sampai hati lor, to see the other kids never get prezzie...

i brought a remote control car for the nephew, my cuzzin's son. time balik rumah nak wrap the toys, i took a little bit of time to play with the car. and i got hooked on it. like, yeah, really, i got hooked. straightaway i told my mum, i want one. aku bagik dia duit suruh belik kan, coz the kedai is at the market my mum always frequent.

apa lagik! naik hantu lah aku! been playing with it. i think the parents must have regretted me buying it, coz im pretty noisy with that car mwahahahaha...!! and i kacao everyone with it, especialy the little sis. i like to ram the car to her feet mwahahahahahaha...!!!

this is my new craze!!

dad has been saying, "ni lah budak kesian, kecik2 tak main kereter control, dah tua, mengidam!" mwahahahaha...!! actually, i don't even remember what was my favourite toy/play when i was a kid. mum said, the only thing i like to do was naik basikal. and i like to menginja. like there was this game, "zeropoint" ke "yeye" or something. the one where you tie rubber-bands together to make a chain and play jumps with them.  I WAS A CHAMPION AT THAT!

teringat incident dimana, mak kasi duit suruh makan, aku gi belik getah buat zeropoint. abis berbilai kene rotan ngan mak aku! mwahahahahaha...!!! oh well, i was just very hyper terkinja-kinja gerl. oh and the mum had to add, "sampai skrg pun masih terkinja-kinja!" uwahahahahahaha....!!!

and my retort to that, "i follow you lah mak. you said before what, you also very terkinja-kinja time you kecik2 what. you panjat pokok rambutan what. and you were very tomboy what. i is also very tomboy what. so kemana tumpahnya kuah kalao tak ke nasik?" ada betol? hahahahahaha...!!!

talking about zeropoint, i think i wanna make one and try playing it once more. buruk pun buruk lah, but yang penting i get to sweat it out. heh. anyone wanna join?

and i wanna get toy guns, with rubber arrows. and play, "shoot the truck and make it move" game.

solomon kane...

i dont know whether this movie has already been released in Singapore, but I managed to watch it yesterday... Review by Yan, she said it's boring till she slept while watching the movie. So I really took her word and didnt watch it till Dad said let's watch Solomon Kane... i even said, "yan kata boring tau." But we took the gamble and watched.

9 minutes into the movie, i was wondering... Yan must have been very very tired while watching the movie. She was wrong. THE MOVIE ROCKS! It's a really stylish movie made in the lines of Van Helsing. Sorcerers, witchcraft, amazingly choreographed fights, name it all, you have it. Yes, my choice of films are sometimes really not ladies' stuff.

and i HAVE to add. the guy who played Solomon Kane - James Purefoy - is a very sexy guy. Oh well, you people know how i ADORE Hugh Jackman. Purefoy looks like him in certain angles. And the styling of Solomon Kane is also like Hugh Jackman in Van Helsing. Black leather, a hat, long black cape, unruly long hair, knives, daggers and what nots. But i find Purefoy better looking as Kane than Jackman as Helsing. Helsing's hair was like a mop, heh.

and he is a very good actor too... i wonder why i didnt notice him before in any movies, or maybe i didnt watch any movies that he had acted in before. when Solomon Kane was evil at the start of the movie, he's pure evil. but when he was forced to pick up arms once again after he renounced violence, he rocked!

this is another movie i will watch a thousand times over. the good thing about this movie, no 'meleseh' scene. great! hahahaha...!!

here's the trailer.

and here's the wiki to the film's synopsis.
